Spring 2012 Trend: NEON

I have been seeing Neon EVERYWHERE lately!

I believe it is going to be a big trend for Spring 2012!

I love bright bold colors- so I am a fan of this trend! : )

Here are some beauty items that I have found from various stores-

I found these two cross body bags at Target! I love wearing cross body bags when I go shopping or need my hands/ arms to be free from carrying a purse! It can get a little too heavy sometimes! :o)

I have found Neon shirts at Target, Victoria's Secret & American Eagle!

They are great to wear during the Summer time since they accentuate your sun kissed tan skin!

Victoria's Secret has the cutest cosmetics bags! This one happens to be neon strips! This set also includes a starter brushes!

China Glaze has beautiful neon nail polishes that I love to wear during the Summer/ Spring time!

I have seen Neon bathing suits are Target & Victoria's Secret!

The neon colors look gorgeous against sun kissed skin!

Flip flops are a must have for most people during the Summer/ Spring time

& will help you show off your neon nail polish! Many brands have came out with neon flip flops including American Eagle, Old Navy & Target.

Neon accessories are always fun to wear. It can make a plain outfit have a pop of color! Places like Forever 21, Wet Seal, H&M, Claire's, Icing, Target ( stores that sell accessories) should have similar looking neon bracelets! You can also make your own with supplies from ACMoore or Michaels!

American Eagle has this beautiful neon lavender jacket that is perfect for a cool Spring day. You could also put this jacket on to keep you warm from the ocean breeze while walking on the beach.

The Vow- Rachel McAdams Inspired Hair & Makeup

As you can see in the photo above, Rachel McAdams has beautiful loose wavy curls. In my tutorial I recreated her hairstyle. It is perfect to wear everyday or to a date on Valentine's Day.

Rachel has kept her makeup simple in this movie. I lightly defined the crease with a matte brown and added a touch of highlight to the inner corners and brown bone. I used a brown eyeshadow as eyeliner on the top eyelid. It is that simple to create the look!

Give Yourself a Manicure at Home!

1. Clip nails to desired length- I like to use nail clippers or scissors.

2. Use a cuticle remover to soften cuticles and use a cuticle pusher tool.

3. File nails, buff & shine

4. Use a hand scrub to exfoliate.

5. Use a cuticle butter to moisturize cuticles.

6. Paint nails

True Blue Spa- Blackberry Purifying Peel Off Face Mask

I BOUGHT A NEW CAMERA!

I am so excited to tell you about my new camera that I recently bought! I always loved taking pictures and videos so I decided to buy a DSLR camera. The name of the camera is Canon EOS Rebel t3i 600D . It has a flip out screen that is similar to a video camera and takes amazing pictures. I am still trying to learn all of the settings that this camera has to offer. I can not wait to use this camera to film tutorials. I did a test video and the quality is amazing! It records up to 1080HD! Wohoo! I can't wait to share it with all of you! I have researched this camera for months and I was tied between Nikon D5100 and the Canon EOS Rebel t3i 600D. After watching comparison videos on YouTube with the two cameras I went for the Canon. I am happy with the choice I made. I also picked up a more sturdy tripod for when I film videos.

p.s. I hope to keep this blog updated as much as possible : )
